Well, Steelo I know where your coming from, warm milk and hot water bottle though,  can wait.. Meet you, your not ready for that.
Had to do a quick trip to Adelaide for a few days, zapped over there on BB (Black Bitch) and rode and rode the whole time was there, fuk that was soo good for my head..Plus,had a lot of MC experiences with amazing rider while there when I broke down. (N'other story) Rode back to Bendigo last night and so fucken cold, spent 20 mins. in hot shower.. but hey,  is wat we do for others to support, and for our own selves too, get that shot in the arm. Tourers are a blast, but shit you have to be prepared, and pack warm for winter, and do the PPPP.. wot ever... Look forward to catching ya all up.
Stopped at Bike works,, for charging issue and very impressed. looked at BB and checked for 1 hour . no charge, plus coffee and bikes to check. definately go back there again.

Friends. Been a while since I posted on this thread. Coming up to 32K since I got the bike in Jan 2017 at 6K so I'm getting the time in the saddle and loving it.

    Can you help
I had both front rotors swapped out when I got it because of a low speed braking shudder.
The shudder was still there and I put it down to linked brakes and the back rotor perhaps being warped as well (and not getting it swapped out at the time)
I'm taking the bike in for a service next Thursday and to get them to look at the brakes.
Reading on various forums tonight, I may not be an orphan in this.
Has anyone else experienced this braking shudder (not the ABS)
    What did you do?

BTW, I have searched on this forum but nothing definitive.

When you say shudder do you feel the brake lever shudder or is it something else

Thx PB VT and Hilly. Not floating rotors, not sure about the levers but sometimes at low speed through the whole bike especially in heavy traffic, clutch on or not. Read somewhere (going to try today) to coast down a hill without the engine on and apply the brakes. Mech did say there was a slight scuffing on the side of the front tyre.

Steelo, that scuffing on the side of the tyre is caused by cornering too fast up Scrubby Hill from Woodchester!...............just sayin'.

Just an update, took the bike into ABW last Thursday to get a service and have the brakes looked at. Turned out it was the rear rotor all along. They didn't have one in stock so I got to take a brand new M8 Ultra home for the evening. It was very nice, smooth, powerful, sounded great and the brakes were vibration and shudder free. Picked up my bike on Friday, SOOO much better!! Also had a new clear 10" HD Windsplitter screen fitted. I don't know if it works any better but it looks good and really suits the batwing fairing.
On Saturday, KC on the sporty, mate Boony on a Rocket 3 and yours truly on the Ultra went down to Goolwa and had lunch at the Port Elliott Bakery.

Steelo, I had the same on my SG but took it off because the sides distorted the view of the road, especially in bends and became annoying after a while.  I reverted to the screen that finishes flush with the top of the Bat Wing. Much better now and I don't notice any difference.

If you are looking through the screen of cause it will distort your view, I have had many different screens and I find this
to be the best I have tried and will not be changing it on the 2018 limited.

The Ultra hire bikes in USA seem to run a high screen as well and took me a day or so to adjust to the distortion cornering and found it more challenging during the rain. My street glide has a short screen and you kook over the top of and offers excellent weather protection, in fact has a weird aero effect that draws rain back off your wet weather gear and directs it under your arms and away.

Folks. Have a quick admission. Dropped into ABW just to get a couple of things looked at on the Ultra for a ride coming up in Sept.
Traded mine in for a later model low mileage higher spec'd M8. Mechanics transferred all my comfort bits, screen, backrest and highway pegs over while I waited. I'm very happy. What do you think?

Nice one Steelo, even if it isn’t red. You better do some round-Australia trip reports in the next year!

Thanks all. Mickle, PB, Jaffee, Graz and FB. I really hadn't thought about upgrading (despite being given a loaner ;-) ) but when I started doing some figures, it made sense and I have a sympathetic Mrs. They did have a deep red one for a similar changeover but a leopard can't change it's spots. Looking forward to doing some longer rides soon. Thanks LB for keeping mum. He sprang me at the store waiting for the changeover.

Well LB should have slapped you till you saw sense and bought the black one, i note that he is unafraid to break away and own other colour bikes.
