I have always believed that one safety advantage we have over the drivers of four wheeled  vehicles is the  absence of distractions from passengers.
I can't understand why anyone would want their Missus in their earhole while they are riding.

Having done many many km across the world with the child bride on the back she knows when to chat and when i need to focus a bit harder. Guess 34yrs of marriage/bikes/pillion had stood her in good steed. LOL

I'm with you blokes. Mrs Graz falls asleep on the back. Dont need to hear  her snoring.

Good points fellas. I understand the risks and I am grateful to you for pointing them out 98. She is a good passenger but doesn't come along often. I'm hoping to encourage her a bit more but she is considerate enough not to chat endlessly on squirrelly bits. (same as in the cars) At least with the PTT instead of VOX, the missus can't annoy me with the snoring.

Friends. Just to keep within topic.
Ive seen members topics and my own brother in laws bike with fork corrosion. I’ve had a great run so far with fork sliders on my ultra. I wash it frequently.
    Q. Can I mask up and spray a liberal layer of auto clear coat over them for additional protection?
    What have others done.
    Thanks.

Steelo, before I did Tassie last year I bought some clear wrap off ebay and did my fork lowers and leading edge of the front guard. I ripped it off when I got home and the forks were as good as new. Would have left it on but I did a pretty ordinary job to be honest and wasn't happy with my efforts. You couldn't notice the wrap on the forks too easily in saying that, I should really do it again, properly this time ;)

They're in really good condition M. Just looking to protect them. I hate to think how much chrome would be.

Pretty sure Harley sell the clear protective sticker for them, over here in Melb there is a mobile guy that I have used to do my tank and under the
seat on the rear guard, also got the front fairing covered although a bit late as I already have a couple of ripper stone chips.
