Must be getting old!. Didn't see Canned Heat, Steppenwolf or the Doors mentioned in any of that band talk.....mumble,mumble.
Hey mate. I've developed a strong hankering to do some big kays with the missus, and even though it'll break my balls, I'm interested in buying one of these brilliant Street Glides which would be more suitable for what I've got in mind. Like to have both, but the budget don't stretch that far, neither does the hand brake's frame of mind regarding that issue. In the current market, it'll probably be hard to sell, and trade in prices are ridiculous , so the itch might have to wait. Doesn't stop me enjoying what I've got, and I love every minute of working on "The Bitch" (that's the bike's pet name , by the way)
Well, its a sad day, but the bike's been loaded into a transport to head off to her new owner in Brisbane. I hope he gets as much enjoyment out of her as I did. Time to move into the tourers, maybe?
She has applied for a transfer to a new house, Mark, and refuses to let me walk her She believes she is too young to see her master riding a granny glide!!
Winger....just did a massive stalk on this thread. That bike looks the goods, well done. I've got heritage with 21 on the front as well. Much involved with dropping the front? and did you use the fork lowering kit drop in or the monotube cartridge kit? cheers
Thanks, Rossi. Was fun building the Heritage. Used the Progressive Monotube drop ins. it was one of the few things I shopped out while I was getting the wheels fitted, so i'm no expert on what's involved. There are a number of threads on the forum regarding fitting them if you want to have a go. Like everything , it's just time and patience and plenty of research prior. Nothing worse than getting stuck into a job and finding you need a special tool, or oil, or seal to finish up. Enjoy your ride!.
Oh true mate you sold her, man that thing was beautiful. Going to be hard topping that one on your next bike I'm sure. Going to buy a tourer now? I bought an old 96 heritage to fang around on until the trains finished then I will strip it and build sonething else out of it. I was only really after the running gear and frame. But I'm moving back to Brisbane over the couple months bit by but so I'm trying to find time to finish the train off so I can start stripping this when I get down there
Couldn't bring myself to buy a tourer, Squid. Ended up buying a 15 Fatty which I'm already falling in love with. That evo will make a very interesting project... especially in your hands, mate! Its funny how you spend so much time and bread on your bikes, and then want something else to move onto. Nature of the beast, I guess. Most of the fun, in my opinion is in the making, not so much the end product. Always keen to see how the train will finish up. Keep posting those pics, mate.
