    Hi guys,

I have just bought a new 103 motor and would like to know what year bike it is out of. I have spent hours searching for a engine vin decode on the net and nothing matches. The vin is GPME312005. Any help would be appreciated.

    cheers.

That number is not a vin.

How do you figure that? It is the engine vin located on the crank case. It is an abbreviation of the frame vin.

Not trying to be smart here, but if the engine is new as you have stated, then it wouldn't have been in a bike yet? But if you mean used but new to you, did you ask the seller what is is out of?
Otherwise, take it to a dealer and they will assist you in your quest as we have no way of telling what it came out of.
