new to this fuel injection stuff i could do with a little advice on a warm up time before just riding off, with a carb you got some sort of idea but with this injection hocus pokus i'm at a loss
thanks guys

Start up , gear up , and off you go . Obviously not race pace from go .
As Tim said, just dont rev the crap out of it for the first few klm.
the EFI will run fine cold, my Ol Tube frame Buell CV44 carb will run fine when cold too, but my motor got a tighter swish higher Comp.
but does not matter , the motor is all alloy air cooled, so it is not on full torque spec's when cold, & no matter how much education they put into EFI it can not change that fact.
So untill your motor warms up the head gasket does not have full Torque, motor warms the alloy expands , then it's right, but you can ride straight off just take it easy for first K or so. you can get away with it on stock motor but not High performance. i will always warm mine up before riding off, also motor starts making more power when oil & motor is at optimal runing temps. all EFI does is add air & fuel the ECU would have knock sensor & you could have custom ignition curve but all that education won't expand motor unless the self heat? they seem to run very hot these days.
I never really felt the need to warm up an aircooled fuel injected bike. Idling just gets it hot. I just don't flog it cold.
You'll find that most EFI's idle just a whisker higher when first started. By the time youve put your skid lid and gloves on you should be ready to go, but as others have said, take it easy for a bit, don't go asking for full power straigh off.
In my opinion, it takes a few klicks, or 10 or so minutes for the internals and oil to warm up, cam lobes, lifters, and crank are my thoughts.
Crank is press fit and not completely "locked" until journals are expanded to operating temp as far as I'm concerned,
think about how long it takes for crank to reach operating temp before giving it a handful.
