Idle issue

2008 FLSTC. Sometimes after a long ride I'll stop for half hour have a stretch whatever, start the bike again and its idling too fast. As I said, sometimes not always. Clues anyone?

Secondly, Ive heard so many different opinions on what year HD started running tubless tyres on the laced rims on the Softails. 2012 seems the one. Thinking about putting laced tubeless on rather than tubed. Most of my riding is a long way from civilisation and dont want a puncture in the middle of bumf**k nowhere.

Invest $100 in Harley assist, they will tow you to local dealer in event of a breakdown

it is most likely the IAC valve sticking open.
Here is a video showing its location & how to clean.

With regards to cleaning I have found CRC MAF cleaner worked well. Carby /throttle body cleaner works too however being plastic I used MAF cleaner as its plastic safe.
