OK, for some this is a no brainer, for others, like me, not so. Its my first Harley, a 2005 Dyna and i have noticed it has a fuel tap on it. Is it required that you must turn this to the off position when not riding ?? or just leave it on.

    Cheers

If your fuel tap is on, there is a possibility that fuel will fill your carb, overflow and make its way through the manifold into the combustion chamber and as it will be a liquid instead of an atomised mixture of fuel/air...when you crank it over the liquid will not compress and this can create a hydraulic lock...this may cause you to bend valves pushrods etc.....chances are it won't happen...but it's a good chance to look around your bike when you turn it on and off....cost you nothin....might save you heaps

Shit, I don't want that happening, even if it is a slim chance. Think I will go turn it off.
    Cheers.
