    Hello SA,

Hoping some fellow long distance riders from SA may take a moment to answer a couple of queries regarding the above subject.

Mid May a mate and I are riding from Perth (home) to the Alice and Ayres Rock for a looky see and would appreciate some info regarding the road conditions, fuel stops ( do we need to carry extra fuel?), and best places to bivvy.

We are set up with Tourers,  and have done long distance trips before, usually clicking over 800 to 1,000 klms a day to get were we are going,  but have not ventured in this neck of the woods north of Port Augusta.

Places to bivvy does not mean a Pub or Motel, we only need a paddock (green grass would be nice??) but walking distance to a Pub should be considered.

I look forward to all responses, regards

    Paul

This should see you right from Pt Augusta .

Glendambo , Coober Pedy , Marla , Erldunda . From here you can get to Alice , or the Rock . Buy grog at Curtain Springs before you get to Yulara ( thank me later )

From the West you,ll already know , but don,t ride at night in the Territory , cows , horses , roos , camels , emus . you fuckin name em they,re out there .
