I've recently bought my first bike. A 2011 Street Bob and I really want to get the forks powder coated black while the weather here in Melbourne is crap.
Has anyone from SE Melb used any local powder coaters they could recommend? I've found a few local shops around Dandy but not sure which one to try.
Also from the research I've done it seems the best way to get them done is to drop the forks and pull them apart completely, get them powder coated and then basically rebuild them again with new seals and oil. Im guessing that means they cant be painted while still assembled?
Thanks for the tip Dave. I rang a couple of places today. One didnt do in house sand blasting and the other one I had trouble understanding but I think they said they wouldnt give me a quote over the phone. So no progress was made. Ill give CnC a call tomorrow from work and see if they can recommend anyone.
