hi I need to pull out my gear box from my 92 softail can someone help me out here and tell me the best way to unbolt it as in unbolt the trans plate that bolts to the frame or unbolt the trans from the plate. I'm just worried  about it not sitting true when I put it back in. 

Just seen your other post wazza no joy with the right bearing than as for box removal , oil tank out, rear shocks off, maybe exhaust depending what you have , clutch cable inner primary and starter +cables than the four large nuts that
Go on the studs and maybe the fifth one which goes to the frame than box should lift out and trans plate will still be bolted to frame
