    Hi all,

A guy is selling some 1 1/4 inch Street Slammer bars with an in built 7 inch riser.  I have an 07 fatboy with standard bars and was wondering if I will need to change any cables? He is including a clutch cable as well.   I know its a common question but a search here revealed no answer for me.  The way the stock bars curve around play hell with my right hand that has a plate in it from a get off years ago.  I was thinking because these are a bit straighter they may help with that.  Dont really want to outlay for cables etc. at the moment.  Any info is appreciated.  I would imagine they are not too hard to fit either.? thanks.

    Heres some pics

Should be all good using the same cables.
Not too many like the angle of the 07 Fatboy bars.
Will need to remove the tank to r & r the electric control cables.
    Cheers

Thanks guys, Sorry for dumb question Drac, what work do I need to do under the tank with the electrical wires. R&R? Never done one before and I thought it was just a case of pulling grips/control off the old bars and putting them straight on to the new ones. Obviously I'm missing something I need to do with the wiring?

Pull plugs apart and tape up pins to pull wiring through bars

then put pins in plugs and reassemble

take picks of the wiring position before you pull pins outa plugs

If you have the wiring inside your current bars you will need to access the plugs under the tank and remove the wires from the plugs so you can pull the wires from the old bars and feed them through the new ones. Its a fiddly job.
Should be able to find how to remove electrical plugs on youtube.
    Cheers.
