g/day fellas. has any one replaced there front pads on 48 with a xr caliper. and what pads are avail and do lyndals do a version for them.

would like like to try some better pads other than hd type. cheers

looks like lyndal dont do a pad for the xr calipers acording to rollies. be interesting to see what pads others are useíng  on their xr caliper swap on 48's and iron's

checked griffens and they list the same part num for xr and stock 48. harley list different part numbers. 42739-08 for the xr and 42831-04a for the 48

not sure whether the pads are the same size. checked the local honda dealer and they stock ferodo pads as the genuine pads are over the top price wise

will keep looking.

not unless you've changed the front caliper to an xr 4 spot bakes. is a popular swap for 48,irons and others not happy with the stock front brake.
