A pity. The man has a talent for building nice bikes.

The man designed the frame on my bike (FXR) in the early 80's with the intention of making Harley Davidson competitive against the Japanese invasion, so I'd suggest I have the "original" Buell 1340cc HD...and I don't think I have any intention of parting with it.

Seems now that Hero are buying EBR as now that it has gone bankrupt they can buy all the assets cheaply and have no obligation to do any warranty with all the bikes sold under the EBR name. They will rebrand the name and start with a clean page again. Corporate robbery again at wk.

One analysis I read had a plausible explanation:
Being the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer, it would have been chickenfeed for Hero to come up with the $20 million to buy the rest of the equity in EBR. But, then, that would have meant also taking responsibility for hundreds of millions of dollars worth of debts of EBR plus all the accrued employee entitlements. So, they took the easy way out - they anyway got the technology (however little) that they wanted.
