    Hi all,

I just finished modding my airbox (VRSCDX) in preparation for the entry level air ride system im developing at Knight industries.

The mod took approx 45 mins, and the results were much more than i expected. i'll write a bit about the process now, then talk about my results at the end.

    Remove the air box cover.
    remove the air filter
remove the pipes going into the intake
    unplug the 2 rubber hoses

the airbox will be able to be removed now.

i cut the front off the airbox, leaving as much of the bottom as i could. I was doing this mod for the compressor install after all...

i then drilled a few holes in the bottom plate where i can use to attach my clamps for compressor(see pics)

I was a bit funny on the whole changing position of the IAC sensor, but i found a great spot for it by drilling some 3mm holes to use for zip ties.

Ensure that you keep all the drill filings and dust away from the intake. work away from the bike where it wont get in

    RESULTS
from the first kick i knew something was better. At idle is just seemed happier. It idles nicer.

Sound has been greatly improved to a deeper note, this is noticeable straight away and right through the rev range.

Power has definitely increased through bottom-mid range (would need dyno to quote a HP figure.)

Very happy with this mod. Like i said earlier i didnt do the mod for these results, i only did it to fit the compressor in, and im glad i did.

checkout the pics. take note of the IAC sensor position.
