I have a Showa wideglide front end and want to stiffen it up with a fork brace but where the brace is supposed to fit on top of the sliders is conical so the brace won't fit - on top of the sliders measures 69mm and goes down to 65mm. The centre to centre measurement of my brace fits but the Dia of my brace is 65mm
Can I buy another brace with a 69mm diam for the sliders? will that be alright? does anybody have any idea pls

I've got a deuce. Dont you pry off the conical section, put the brace on at the top of the slider and replace it (the cone) after. Could be wrong
