G'day all,  I have a bit of a project on the go in which I need to buy several OEM parts.  Where do you source your new OEM parts from, a dealership in Australia or the USA?  I have used both Ronnies & Chicago Harley a few years back but at the moment I'm out of touch, who does the best bang for the buck.

    Cheers Rich

Us dealers are not allowed to send to Aus any more I buy from harley haven Melbourne always good prices normally
And fast and very helpful guys to deal with better than the two city dealers I have delt with in Perth always seemed to hard and took 3 times longer than it should have

Thanks for the heads up perthhog, that's disappointing. I was getting gouged by Australian KTM dealers with the dirt bike until I found a US source... Anyways if someone uses (or heard of) a dealership in the States whether direct or via a freight forwarding service could they shoot me a PM.

I use comgateway mail forwarders in the US for all my tech stuff (I'm not paying $1000 more for a laptop in Australia than the US when it has bloody global warranty). Bonus, they're in Oregon, so no state sales tax.

There are ways, but not much saving anymore on importing OEM due to low AU$ and high freight.
It's easier to buy local, and a good dealer will knock off 10%.

I price out both ebay (USA) and the local Harley Heaven. About 50% of the time the local is cheaper once I add up the exchange rate and Postage .

Yep...My buying is exclusively early Evo parts. I'm lucky if the local Dealers even know what an Evo is nowadays.
