HI all,

I have bought an 08 1200 custom spotster and since i bought it the alarm has not been on. i have replaced all three batteries, fob, 9volt rechargable alarm battery and 12v main battery. i have read the owners manual about the alarm system but its like learning a new language. the blinkers dont flash when i turn the bike off and the security key on speedo does not flash every three seconds as it would if the alarm was armed ?

any help would be much appreciated....... thanks

 

On mine, I press the button on the fob till I get the conformation signal, "beep and blinkers flash", then to turn it off, double click the fob.

What if it's a non button fob? Hey Rustom, does the fob have a button or not? I don't think it has.

And does the key light stay on, or is it off?

the key light stays off, and the fob has no button.... cheers
