hi i hope someone has had this happen before so i can get a straight anwser or if not where to start looking for the problem.

ok theres whats going on. when i ride there is a winding noise coming from  eather the clutch or the or gear box when i pull the clutch in the noise goes away. last night i went for a 90km round trip and when i got home the clutch was dragging very lightly which it has never done before. there is a rotation noise in the primary as well. i'm thinking it might be the baering in the clutch but i have been wrong before.

the bike is a 1992 softail. i readjusted the clutch but it was set up right to start with.

any help here would be great.

Clutch hub bearing will generally make noise with clutch pulled in
Inner primary bearing will make noise while idling on the spot and go away when you pull the clutch an drop it into gear (still sitting there)
Gearbox main output you might be able to hear by pushing the bike without it running
