how hard is it to put a set of softail exhaust pipes on to a dyna super glide, is it just the mounts or is there more to it
On any Dyna the complete pipe system "moves" with the engine as the engine is rubber mounted All Softails the exhaust system is hard bolted to the frame and the engine which does not move They can probably be "made to fit" but most likely it's a " too hard basket" scenario
There is likely to be drama with footpeg/footboard position and gear lever / brake access.
Some pipes will fit. Just look out for your oil fill point for clearance.
A mate and myself fitted these in an afternoon while having a few beers.
They tuck into the engine real nice give plenty of clearance round the dipstick.
I had to make a new rear bracket so I made it a little more heavy duty.
The effort is well worth it some real nice pipes out there for softails.
so dose that mean the pipes are the same it is only the mounting brackets are differant
