I have just spoken to my local dealer who has advised me that these tyres: http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/dunlop-16-rear---d401-150-80b16-pa-12-5519210--1 & http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/dunlop-19-front---d401f-100-90-19-pa-12-5519310--1 are not for sale within Australia.

I am spewing as I wanted to chuck on some white-walls next and preferred they be the Harley branded tyres.

Can anyone dispute what they have told me? And if not can anyone point me to where I might be able to get some decent white walls?

The Dunlops used to have a decent life span, now they are rubbish. I would go with the Shinkos like Walka recommended. FYI, I also recently used a Metzler Marathon on the rear of my Fatty. It delaminated in 2 places after about 6K klms.

Only thing that kept me going back to the Dunlops was the fact the front tyre seems to have a wider white-wall than most other white-wall tyres I can see. Walka is this actually the case? Or is it just my eyes playing tricks on me?

Was hoping to purchase and fit them locally, but those prices are much better than the Dunlops even with postage.

Wide white walls like the Shinko, Dunlop, Metzler etc look to me to be almost identical. I have a Metzy and a Shinko with me now and they are the same

Okay cool thanks for the info. So you would recommend the Shinko over the Dunlop and Metzlers?

I know you said they are good all-rounders Walka, but do you have any experience with them in the wet? I ride all year round and want to have tyres that are at least as half decent in the wet as they are in the dry.

I have only just had the Shinko fitted so cant comment mate.

Have decided to go with Metzler 888's white walls which are being fitted this Saturday. I wanted to give you my business Walka but I am operating on a short time-frame so did not really want to wait for shipping.

I appreciate all your guys input though, it definitely helped.
