Slip ons for CVO Fat Bob. Which sort? Tuner?

Hi guys. I just picked up a 2009 CVO Fat Bob. Goes like the clappers but does the 110 hold some sort of record for engine clatter? Talk about noisy - or maybe it's audible because the stock exhaust is so quiet it's embarrassing.

    1. What slip ons are good for keeping a deep sound but louder please? I'm thinking of other SE or S&S. Do you think I'd need a tuner as well if I change? This model has a Heavy Breather fitted as standard. I don't want to spend a fortune on this so if I need a tuner I guess I might not worry for a while.

    2. I have a CVO Fat Boy with SE pipes and Heavy Breather which had no tuner when I bought it so I fitted one later. I went fine without the tuner so is it easy to remove and transfer to the Fat Bob?

Sorry for my ignorance but those of you here who know me have made enough allowances for me so far, so you might as well suffer me one more time :)

    Thanks a heap.

The SE pro tuner is now locked forever to the first bike , ie your CVO Fatboy

IT WILL NOT WORK ON YOUR 2009 CVO FATBOB

Khrome Werks slip on mufflers will retain the stock look if you want that. Best bang for the buck

Considering it comes with the heavy breather as standard, the standard tune would accommodate for this. With that being the case, I cannot really see you needing to tune after fitting some slip-ons.

I have one of these too

Pretty quiet because of the cat in the header pipe

I kept the OEM look for a while but got a set of stock headers without the cat and got some Cycle Shack baffles for the muffers

    Also got a tuner (TTS)

if you 're thinking about getting a tuner later , get it now

Louder pipes are louder because they are less restrictive and safer to get a tune

Changing pipes (and to a lesser extent mufflers) makes a lot more difference than changing air filters

Thanks everyone. Ended up with S&S slip ons and a tuner.

    Appreciate the feedback.
