Air Cleaner Cover

    G' Day folks,

    I was wondering if anyone knows what process was used to get the lettering on the 80 Cubic Inch Air Cleaners, it looks like some sort of brushed metal effect, with the chrome background coming through with the lettering. I would like to get the round chromed Air Cleaner Cover on my 07 FXSTC done in a similiar way.

    Not sure if I have the one you're talking about, mine is a '94 softail (80 cube EVO) with a round air cleaner cover and seems to be like you describe.

    On mine, it had printed '80 cubic inches Springer Softail'. This lettering was on a piece of sheet aluminium stuck on the cover, don't know how they did it, but I peeled it off anyway!!
