Have been reading through alot of forum topics trying to work this out - I have performed a smart tune on my 2013 FatBob and updated the Ve Tables but i have noticed i have decel popping when slowing down and also after the smart tune my AFR table didnt change form the base map - Should AFR table have changed and is that the possible reason for the popping

Air fuel table don't change, it's the ve tables that change. As for exhaust popping on decel, this was covered a few days ago and has been covered before if you do a quick search on decel pop or similar. Good luck with it. The se tuners need a manual or a better manual from the sounds of it.

Fatbat is correct. AFR tables will not change after a Smart Tune only the VE tables get updated (AIR Flow).

In this forum section you will see my post talking about popping on decal. Fatbat has explained and educated me on many various topics such as AFR, VE, Warm-Up & popping. Check it out.

Ok have read a few posts regarding decel popping- Have reduced the numbers on decel eleanment in the temp range with no difference - When i am slowing down with no throttle it will pop from 2200 down to 1800 but if i slow down with clutch in and no throttle i get no popping - Should i be working on the AFR table in that rev range or the VE table - Have read alot of post that move onto AFR table if Decel Eleanment changes dont work

Some exhaust systems will give decel pop regardless of what you adjust. But if you add some fuel in the o% area of the VE table from 5,000 rpm down to 2,000 rpm you can reduce the popping. Try raising the numbers by 8 digits for a start point.
    Cheers Brian.

So i reduced AFR table in the 20kpa to 13.5 from 1750 rpm to 3000rpm and that has reduced alot of the popping. I might change decel elenment again see if i need adjustments to both tables for this to work - Also any dangers if i go lower on the AFR table

13.5, wow that's richer than I've seen suggested around the web. The lowest I've seen is 13.9
But then again that's with reference to Sportsters.

The obvious issues with enriching the fuel is reduced mileage, carbon buildup on the spark plugs and black exhaust tips.
Obviously stress on the engine to far either way (lean/rich) is never a good thing.

Would be interesting to here what a Dyno Mechanic would suggest?

Ebt is a very experienced dyno tuner. Listen to any advice he offers as his advice on tuning is as good as it gets.

Yep, I'll second what fatbat has said. Had my bike tuned by Brian at EBT and I'm very happy.
