mrs bought HD boots  and the sole split from side to side  right through across the ball of the foot.

I bought a pair of steel capped HD boots   wore then 3 days  and the sole has split away from the upper to the point its unsafe to walk in them

COME on HD   if you want to charge good coin for Boots  make sure they are good quality..

boots that last 3 days  are only worth $1.50   not $150

I doubt that they would sell crap on purpose..I would think it is something out of there control(the selling shop) as they only order in the stock...Anyway, good result that they are taking care of it...

    + 1 what DAVUTCH said $$150$$
Consumer law requires retailers to replace faulty goods
They must have been welt sole boots rather than the upper being STITCHED to the sole?
I was a bit apprehensive to pay $270 for a pair of boots that are made in China, but I would say that the 'EL PASO' style HD boots are arguably the most comfortable boot I have ever owned

Wesco and Whites boots for me. I bought some harley boots about 3 years ago online. The fit and finish wasn't that great for boots retailing $270 plus, I moved them on. Most of the Harley branded stuff is from China, Indonesia or
Pakistan now. They still charge like it's made in the USA...its a real shame I reckon.

I've never had any HD boots so I can't comment on their quality.

Years ago I had Rossi's, but now I use various Thomas Cook boots because the factory outlet in Melbourne is not far away from me. You can pick up samples or seconds cheaply if you don't mind going back if they're not available on that visit.

My current ones are the Rougue (dedicated bike boot) and cowboy boots. I love the cowboy boots because they are very comfortable and don't look out of place with kevlar or leather jeans. They're also good if you've got pegs because of the heels.

I've had my HD boots for over three years and they have been fine. $90+post (when the dollar was really good). Think they are the Dakota ones, but fit good and have worn well. Looks like they may have just produced a dud batch there,Mao keep faith
