Hey, having a drama removing inner primary, (85 FLHT) Got all the bolts inside the primary, the 2 at the front, and the 2 on the starter housing. Inner wont budge off the output shaft. I am guessing the bearing is holding it there. Cant get a puller anywhere near it and would be worried about cracking the case anyway. Clues anyone?

Did you remove the bolt from the other side of the inner primary; ie its access from the exhaust pipe side?

There is a bolt that mounts from the other side - its in the bottom middle of the other side of inner primary cover and normally holds the earth strap to the engine (well on my 86 FXR it does). Little bugger got me when i did my first pulldown; as I could not figure out why the damn inner primary would no budge even though I had removed all the outside facing bolts.

Obviously its not that well documented!...lol
