    Hey fellas,

Random question I know but I am heading over to Spain and Greece for the summer (Europe Summer / our Winter) and keen to take a few good reads with me. Last year I was over there and I read that book called "The Brotherhoods" by Arthur Vend and loved it. Any other bike related, 1% books that are not pure shit and an interesting read? Or any other true crime books that were good? Favorite book of all time is Marching Powder which I am sure if you like true crime books you have read. If not jeesus, get it.

Anyway, yep random I know but plenty of down time in between parting so if you have a recommendation let me hear it!

Have you read Anthony Kiedis' biography? Not exactly true crime but it is a fucking good read and boy has that bloke lived a hectic life.

Yeah mate I'd definitely recommend it.

Here's another one I'd recommend, it's probably even further away from what you were after, but another fuckin good book and it's about an Aussie, obviously.

I found a 2nd hand book store and went nuts a few months ago. No Angel by jay dobyns, he was an ATF agent that infiltrated the Angels. There's a couple of great docos on YouTube about him. In , under and alone. Another cop that gets a full patch with Mongols. Billy St. John is his name. Get a couple of Elmore Leonard books. He wrote get shorty and jackie brown. A great one of his is called pagan babies about a shonky priest and a hooker that the mob and FBI are after..fantastic.

If your going to Greece, go to Corfu to the west side, find an olive tree that you can sit under with a bottle of Ouzo and read "My Family and other Animals". Life on Corfu in the 40's. (40's or 30's, not sure now.)

Hi there. It's a great idea to take a good collection of reading material.

Do you have an Iphone or other smart phone?

    Have you considered Ebooks

Many books out there, free even, (Google) for the phone. Certainly more convenient when on the move.

Or else, if you have to buy, go to Itunes or borrow :-). Lot cheaper than hard copy.

Calibre (software) is a great piece of kit for managing EBooks, PDF's and other book formats on the PC for conversion and importation into Iphone and Android phone.

Aldiko is the app to use on Android.

    Regards

Hey Steelo I have tried the iPhone and iPad thing but I find I hate reading on them. I dunno why I like reading an actual book, plus it makes me look smarter haha.

There's also an app called Overdrive through SA public libraries, where you can download library books to your phone for 3 weeks per book, just like borrowing hardcopy from the library....you will first have to go to the library and fill out a library card to be a member though.
