     Hi Fellas

Got a new stator and rotor coming.

The manual that I have says dispose of the stator screws and use new ones, so I phoned up the shop, they said nobody does. They never got back to me.

    Any views?

    Thanks Duge

It's best practise but is not something I would worry about personally. If you have the screws change em, if you don't and can't be fucked getting some then don't worry about it.

Though that being said I would make a judgement based off the condition of the screws. If they look like they're in good nick then I'd re-use them making sure I use a bit of loctite as well. Some people say use the strong stuff in this application - I do not agree, I use the blue loctite in this situation.

For the price, I use new screws.
They are small and have quite a high torque spec.
I'm sure you could re-use them and be OK though.
    I've also heard of some people re-using O-rings to save a few $$ !!

Screws are okay with loctite but never reuse the 'o' ring, 90% of the time they leak.

    Hi
Thanks, I figured as much. I rang the shop back, same answer, week and a half to order the screws. Think if it was imperitive they would include them with the new stator.

    Hi
Update on the screw debarkle. Stator turned up today Cycle Electric. Screws in the box, go figure. Two phone calls and worry for nothing.
