Thanks Mickle just what I wanted to hear, looked at one of your photos with you wearing your helmet, the color doesnt look too bright.

I mainly want to go up a size to try and eliminate the squeezing of my cheeks this helmet does.

I tried on a large a couple of days ago and it still seems to do it but not as much.

I have the same problem with the cheeks, missus reckons because I have a fat head, told her to get fucked, but

jokes aside I am sure they have different size cheek pads available.

I bought the Evo 3 in my usual large size. There was a bit of cheek squeeze but the XL was slightly too big. However, when the helmet is flipped to closed face it tightens a lot. So if I close it I can't get it off my head, literally! Try them closed and open, because closed they are a 1/2 size at least smaller.

Well done, the price is very good.

I use a series 2 small which still has some cheek pinch but the rest of it fits well. Interesting that you went from small to large, not medium. Has there been a radical change in sizing?

I probably should have had a medium at the start but got the smaller size  for a good price ,have no probablems at all on long runs either,it will make a great pillion lid.

Large still seems to be a snug fit, just less cheek squeeze.I have been wearing a mask with the small which hides the problem so if your worried about the looks,a mask is the secret, great in open and in full face.

That explains it. I don't worry about the look of chipmunk cheeks.

I only wear it in full face mode in the rain and don't wear a mask. Defeats the purpose of an open face.

By the time I need my next helmet, the 3 should be really cheap because the 4 will be out.

The advertising says that it has been improved. What do you think?

I havent had anything to do with the series 2 but the weight on the three is suppose to be 200grams lighter,

Up to you,if the one you have is doing the job, great,I have seen the series 3 down to $399 at some stores but they are xsmall or small.(Must be harder to sell)

One thing that still needs improving is the noise, hope they look into that a bit on the next one.

I have the EVO series 2 and it has been a great helmet also very versitile.  Open face helmets aren't much good over 80ks to much wind to contend with.

My partner has the EVO series 3 a bit lighter and has the added function of opening the visor when you want to convert to open face. Also the Evo 3 has a different interior foam shell when is more oval shaped which seems to fit more different heads as people have oval heads not round.

As for the noise I don't know how anyone who rides a Harley could hear any noise over their loud exhaust,

Personally I don't have an issue with wind noise it is minimal and not worth worriing about it. I have used many full face helmets over the years and they all have a degree of noise and they may not ever stop that.

Great value helmet for the money and you don't have to wear those silly face masks or chew on bugs ever again.

I agree, very versatile helmet ,I just love to ride with a mask while it's an open face, seems to have less turbulance than when it's full face (In my opinion)

Wind noise is not my problem, its my fucken pipes,I dont want to change my pipes so I need a helmet that is more sound proof is all.wink

I wear ear plugs most of the time, but when I forget to put them in,I suffer after the fact.

I wanted to buy a Bell rougue but in doing so I felt I would be going backwards so I decided to go another Shark Evoline.

helmets are weird things. I have been using a THH with the flip up visor for the past two years and its a fairly comfortable helmet but when I hit 70kph I get the whistle thing happening but if I tilt my head forward by 30 degrees the whistle disappears. if I tilt my head back 30 degrees the noise stops. so the question is should I ride up the highway looking at the sky or the petrol tank? if anybody can recommend a quiet lid with a flip up visor I am all ears
