When I disconnected my speedo to repainted bike the speedo reset to 0 ks, anyone know how to put it back to original ks?

I have disconnected my cluster on several occasions, a few times with the battery disconnected as well, and the ODO has never reset to 0 so that is strange.

I think the trip meters will reset but ODO definitely shouldn't. Maybe someone else can weigh in?

Disconnect the battery, does it go back to zero again? Definitely not on Trip? Could be a faulty cluster and need replacing.
