A friend at work recommended Maxima SC1 cleaner. He uses it on his HD. Its a silicone based cleaner which apparently is safe for all over the bike except wheels and seats of course due to the silicone content.  I tried is today on a couple of spots on the fatty and wow!  I must say it worked a treat, even on the chrome  seemed to shine even brighter than when I polish it.  It also stops dust collecting/sticking to the bike apparently.  I was just wondering if anyone here has tried it?  Its not that easy to find but I found a couple of suppliers locally.  Not cheap at 15-16 bucks a can but seems to be the shit.

    No worries, thanks.
The following is whats in Mr Sheen just FYI

    Dimethicone is a silicone....
    Ingredients
    C10-12 alkane/cycloalkane
    Butane
    Isobutane
    Propane
    Dimethicone
    Sorbitan oleate
    Parfum
    Hexyl cinnamal
    Butylphenyl methylpropional
    Benzyl salicylate
    Microcrystalline wax
    Paraffin
    Sodium benzoate
    Methylisothiazolinone
    Methylchloroisothiazolinone

    Cleaning solvents
C10-12 alkane/cycloalkane and paraffin (AKA kerosene) are mixed hydrocarbons that remove greasy marks and polish residues.

    Propellant gases
Butane, propane and isobutane propel the Mr Sheen from its container. They are also used as bottled fuels for patio heaters and barbecues.

    Dimethicone
This is a colourless oil which leaves behind a water-repelling silicone layer on the surface that has been polished. It is also used in cosmetics to make skin feel smooth.

    Sorbitan oleate
An emulsifier, this acts to ensure all the ingredients form a homogenous mixture. It also acts as a mild surfactant in its own right and is added to moisturisers.

    Hexyl cinnamal
    A widely used camomile fragrance.

    Butylphenyl methylpropional
This adds a floral-bouquet smell and can be found in perfumes.

    Benzyl salicylate
A fixative, it is there to help the fragrance molecules to blend in with the other ingredients. Of itself, it has almost no odour.

    Microcrystalline wax
This consists of tiny hydrocarbon crystals which have 35 or more carbon atoms in their molecular structure. It creates a shiny surface.

    Sodium benzoate
This powerful germicide (AKA E211) is particularly effective under acid conditions. It occurs naturally in cranberries.

My main concern would be the unpronounceable ingredient that leaves the floral bouquet smell.

Yep kickinon basically the same stuff. I use it on the same areas even though there arent many as the fatty is basically chrome all over. I find it really good on plastic bits as it rejuvenates them very well. I even tested it on the bonnet of the John Deere ride on the other day which is plastic and fairly faded, and the difference was amazing. Im happy with it despite all the hype over the ingredients but the manufacturer states its safe even for the paintwork so Im gunna keep using it. Oh and it smells nice too..!!! Thats important :-)
