    Hi guys,

    I have a 2012 fatboy, I'm getting really bad wobble... I'll explain

Sitting in 2nd or 3rd gear I notice it more but happens in all gears..

Traveling about 75 and take hands off handlebars, when it drops to 65-50km it starts to wobble very bad and sway to the left really bad.. You cannot ride with no hands at and the wobble is that bad it feels like your going to wobble off.... The handle bars wobble about 2-3 inches each way!!!!

It's at harley now, and even there having problems finding the issue..

    Thanks in advance guys

Difficult to tell with such little info but start with tyre pressures front and back, check that the tyres are not worn unevenly on one side. Wheel alignment front to back.... list goes on

Maybe front tyre. Wheel bearing or steering head bearings.
My fatboy developed a slight vibration at the same speed when I changed from the dunlop to a pirelli because of the tread pattern. Not bad though.

They tighten the head bearing and put grease on it, they say it helped a little but it's still there, they also want me to get a rear tyre!!!! So tomorrow there putting on rear tyre...

    Tyre pressure is ok...

There only guessing at this stage tho

How many K's has the front tyre done mate? Rub your hand over the tread going backwards and if its uneven its scalloped and needs replacing.
More front wheel prob then rear.

There was a lot of problems with imports doing headstem bearings with low kms , pressure washing the grease out of bearings .

+1 on tyre pressures Catack. Running harley recommended pressure will do it. I buy my tyres and run recommended tyre manufacturer pressures for the specific bike. For example I just put Avons on and the advised pressure is 38f, 42r. Harley pressures and rear suspension is set and recommended for the average and comfort. To save my pirellis I was advised to inflate to 42f , 46r and ride Mackay and back, wasn't worth it as there wasn't enough tread left. Still recommend checking suspension settings bearings and steering head. Give me a oi if your in brissy I know a tyre guru that can help you out.

My 2012 Fatboy did it brand new when I picked it up from the dealer. They ended up replacing the front tyre, that fixed the problem.

They adjusted the head stem and put new rear tyre on, they say it's fixed, and I'm picking it up first thing in morning, I'll let you guys know the outcome... I dont seem very confident tho...

    They just dropped it off...

It's does ride straight now, but it's still shaking it's head off, and Geelong harley say it's normal....

What a load off crap, I'm not the most experienced person in the world but I know a bike shouldnt shake like that when you take your hands off the handlebars...

Still wobbles very bad and pulls to the left.....

And they say it's fixed....what now??????

I agree with paulybronco. It always sounded like the front tyre to me.
    I would just change it.
    Good luck.

I have given the bike to another repairer, he tool it for a ride, and came back and said "holy shit " the bike wanted to throw me off....

Amazing how Geelong harley didn't find anything wrong !!!!! Geelong harley just wanted money for a rear tyre that I didn't need, haven't paid yet and I don't intend to pay for it...

The new repairer reckons it's the head stem bearing or front wheel, he wants it for a day or two...

    Thanks guys for your input
