External Breather on a TBW Bike

    Today I did a set up on a TBW set up. had to do this a bit different because of the Butterfly servo controller.

    and the breather gallery in the backing plate

    so after I figured where the fittings could fit in ( measure twice drill once)
    I drilled a pilot hole then a 8.5mm taping hole for the 1/8bsp fitting

    Then with a 5 mm tap I tapped out the breather galleries

    bit of thread sealant and screwed in the 1/8 BSP TO 5/16 hose barb fittings

    Red Loctite on the 5mm grub screws and screw in and the centre popped the thread after they are screwed in tight ( don't want these coning out going through the motor)

    Fitted up you can see the breather hose above the filter backing plate, has a tee piece with the hose running across the TB down under the horn to the front of the frame ( can go anywhere with  it from here)

    A mate has done that, But he has just ran a "Y" piece to join both tubes, and a small filtered vent approx. 40mm in diameter just under the "Y"junction.
