Hi al.  I'm current in the process of purchasing my first Harley Davidson.  I have test riden the two I am stuck between, Nightrod Special and Breakout.  Both feel awesome hand to me have very similar seating positions.  My only concern is the fact that the Nightrod Special only has 5 gears opposed to the Breakouts 6.  Does this have a big impact on the Specials performance at highway/freeway speeds, or long cruises.  Any feedback would be great.  I'm leaning towards the Nightrod Special, but only due to my sportsbike background.

5 speeds fine for the Night Rod, got to remember the Night Rod runs the Revolution Motor, red lines at 9000 Rpm, where as the breakout runs the 103 Twin Cam motor, red lines at 5500 Rpm.

real harleys dont use water lol had to say it sorry allde.

Buy anything except a Nightrod!... Every time I hear one on the road it sounds like a jappa with a crap exhaust system fitted. It may be faster than the Breakout, but no way as "Harley" as the breakout.

Thats just my biased Evo driven opinion though.
