I have finally succumed to the fact that I am old, and that the body is tired and worn out.  In other words . . .I have upgraded(?) to an 2010 Ultra.  It has Heated Hand Grips, with the stock skinny arse black Grips.  Is changing the grips the same process for normal unheated grips?  Have done that a few times over the years ( Jap stuff, the Sporty and the Heritage), and just wondered if it's a case of cut the old ones off, clean up, 'slip' the new ones on.

Not really. There is a plug for the wiring on the rh side and a harness that runs to the lh grip for the heater wiring. Its not that hard, and the accessory replacement grips should have an instruction sheet.
