Tyre and rim combo advice

Hey guys just pulling apart my 1200 for another face lift. The wheels are chrome and have rusted over time. I was considering having them blasted and powdercoated matte black though not sure if this is a good idea. I could easily paint them in plastidip but they are pitted and if i get them blasted i might as well powdercoat them. Will this finish last on spoke rims? Will it crack? Do i need to worry about the hubs and bearings when sand blasting?

As for the tyres, i need to replace them. Ive looked at the mezzler, dunlop and michelling commander 2. My favourite is easily the commander as i like the look of the tread pattern. Im looking at 398 for the pair, is this reasonable? As for sizing, is 130/100/16 the only size compatible for the rear? The old tyre says MT/90/16, what does MT mean?

Can i fit any other sizes on the 19" front?

    Thanks in advanced.

I recently bought a Commander 2 for the 21" rim on the front of my softail, paid $166 fitted (tyre to rim only) and balanced.

That's much cheaper than the almost $200 a tyre i was quoted. Was it purchased from a big chain?
