I have a 2012 Street glide and on the left side under the left side cover is a wire that is cable tied to the frame and not attached to anything. Would anyone know what this wire is for? It is not for a battery tender as that wire is in place on the other side.

Just re read your post again ,,, it says cable tied to the frame , ie , not connected to the frame, (through bolt, etc ) !!! So it does'nt look like a ground wire..

A pic will help sort you out !!!!

Yep more info and pic needed. It could be for a race tuner, input wires.

Fair chance it's for some sort of auxiliary running/brake light for the hard bags.

Yeah, what he said. I think red/yellow is brake, blue is a running/parker/numberplate and black is ground.

Thanks Guys, I was wondering if it might be for the LED tail lights that are in the bottom of the rear guard. I have been told everything is there but the actual lights due to Australian compliance requirements ???

gday guys, i have an 08 street glide and have the same wire on mine..im positive its used for add ons on the rear end ( led lights) as mine is a bit longer and was held along the frame by the same factory ties that are on other bits of the bike...Dave
