I've removed a couple of Thundermax units over the years and replaced the stock ECM and then used older SERT and then TTS to tune the stock ECM.Just as good power and BETTER fuel consumption to boot !

The Thundermax units did seem to be electrically weak and prone to water incursion and subsequent corrosion.

This was on 2007 Bikes which are now fairly "old" of course. Problems just like yours , no power continuity , no speedo etc etc

How old is your bike , and where in Australia are you ?

I have put in the Thundermax unit a couple of years ago. Happy as with the results. One bad part of the change was that I had to buy another speedometer/tachomter/ main unit as they just did not talk to each other. Lost a few thousand Km on the clock. All is good with the new combination gauges now. Now one either from this site or from Thundermax could answer the question why the two units did not update together. I have the after market Harley speedo/Tacho unit. Dont know if it effects the standard speedo unit the that is stock.
