As some may have Known i took my old Fatty to see Dyno Harley 3 weeks ago for him to waken this bike up
i gave him a budget to work with and asked him to give me some more Horsepower and torque
As he has built more motors than ive Tattooed Boobies i left it all to him with one exeption i wanted gear drive cams
So we put the snail on th dyno before he started Max Power was 64.12 hp with 76.25 Max Torque
i went to Alans place today Sunday 22-2-2015 to pick it up
To find i now have a bike im sure everyone would be over Happy with
The resuts are in my mind BRILLIANT
MAX POWER 100.21 hp with 101.05 MAX TORQUE
once i go buy me a scanner ill post the dyno sheet
all up it came in under budget and its a real fun thing to ride
to say im more than impressed with Alans work is an understatement im gunna have to strap my self to this bike now
Ok some of the Goodies S&S 585 gear drive cams 10.25 comp 44mm SE cv carby SE manifold new rods lifters springs ect Heads ported and flowed by Alan
You would have to be happy with those numbers Tat, great result's.
I think 88 cubic inch, from a V Twin street bike is big.
But everyone just look at how many cubic in & most just think bigger has to be better.
I went from an 88 to a 95 myself, but always wished i could have tried to see just how quick & fast i could get an 88, because i always liked that thick cylinder liner the 88 has to keep it's round. bored to 95 it get's a lot thinner . i think if i did the same thing again i would probably use S&S barrels as there 97 has thick cylinder wall's too.
Now our old mate Daddyracer56 has been runing a 88 inch twin cam at the track pretty stock not sure what trap speeds he has been doing but, he has got that 88 dyna ( think it's a 1999 year ) to run very low 11's. now he has high comp 88 pistons for it think new old stock from HD, will be interesting to see if he can run 10's on a 88 inch street dyna. he won't use any tricks like air shift or ignition cut out & it's stock frame street tyres. so 10's will be an eye opener. from a normaly asperated 88.
tat do you think you will ever get your bike to the drag's?
Sounds nice Tat2. I bet it's a great improvement. I am heading over to Al's in the morning to pick up my '01 Heritage Softail. Can't wait to feel the difference in mine.
It would be interesting to see what was done differently between our two bikes and compare the power and torque spread..
Anyway mate happy riding on the "new" beatsie.
Tat, there's a few modifications you could do to help out with the lack of strength in your hand, one more obvious thing is to have a decent seat that has good support to stop you from sliding back. There's even an auto clutch setup available that can make things easier to control. And you are already onto fixing the brakes.

I'm not talking about drag racing, but just general riding.
I have a bit of an idea what your going through. I had my leg in a cage for six months waiting for bones to knit back together.
Also got some titanium after smashing my wrist badly...twice !!
