Hi there Forumbusters. I went to pick up some nice additions for Tigger yesterday at Central Coast H-D at West Gosford. It turned out to be the national release of the new Street 500.

Looked OK. It would make a great little commuter or short tripper to go to the shops and back. Oh and good for the learners also!. 10K on the road.

Anyway I went there to pick up my detachable top box kit and some other bling from the burst collection. I ordered a custom seat a cupla weeks ago but that will take another few weeks to get here.

You wouldn't believe it but another mate slipped off his steed yesterday. He's ok, he hesitated at a corner whilst nearly stopped, and grabbed too much front brake on one of them white painted lines. The roads were wet also. Bugger. When my mate told the dealer what happened, the boss was great and took my mates honda in the workshop to straighten and tighten a few things up so he could get home ok, all for free, even with the 500 event going on. I thought that was fantastic service. So, don't go for a ride with me as that is two in a month now!

Anyway I will take some pics when I install the gear on Tigger.  Ride on chaps!

Should be a great seller for HD . Shame HD don't make the 883 learner approved.

I dropped into CCHD as well to check out the launch of the the street 500. It would have suited me when I was a bit younger, now I like to just cruise about on my Heritage which i am thinking will last me for as long as I can keep riding!

Central Coast Harley are a good bunch of guys for sure. I had a small issue with the brake light staying on on my last bike (a sporty), I dropped into the shop and they sorted it out on the spot and didn't charge me. Glad to have them as my local dealer (I live 5 mins from them).

The wife and I went along to the launch at Harley Heaven in Dandenong as she is thinking of getting a 500 so we can go on rides together. She isn't 100% sold on the style but after a quick go on the demo unit on the dyno she is more interested in having a test ride. If the 500 doesn't grab her then I will just find her a second hand sporty for similar money.

If Australia got the 750 I'd probably consider it, that bit more balls in a chuckable Harley. More appealing than the 883 imo, going sportster I'm happier with my 1200.
