I like to change my bars often and don't mind doing the job but getting the pins out of the wiring plugs is a pain in the arse...Does any one have a simple way of redoing the plugs or wiring to speed the process up..Maybe small plugs that will pull through the bars so I don't have to pull the pins....I am thinking of leaving the wiring exposed but like the cleaner look of internal wiring...
Cheers...
The 2012 (?) onwards CanBus models have smaller wiring connectors than previous models, and just unclip, and are easily pulled through bars.
Check out the part numbers of those connectors and change your harness to suit ?
I have a 2014 Street Bob and bar changes are really easy as a result fo the new connectors.
The main difference in wiring, I believe, is that the indiactor wires don't go all the way from the frame/neck through the bars, but only go a few inches from the canbus module in the switch housing to the indicators. Not sure how that will affect the possibility of changing connectors.
