Just picked FXD up and finally got to ride the bloody thing home.
It goes great, and it's been such a long time coming. He basically said it never had a chance with the way the last bloke had it set up. He put it on the dyno and said its got a strong motor for an older bike. It maxed out at 62.8HP which he also said was pretty good with SS carb and VH short shots.
It felt good, and I was as happy as a bloke with a new breakout riding down the highway home. First ride in over 2 years for being a wanker and losing my license. First proper ride since I bought the bloody bike. It's been a comedy of errors, or a perfect storm since day one. Now Im pumped. If anyone is in or around the canberra area. I highly recommend Pulfords for your bike. Same labour cost as the Harley dealership. The same dealership that won't work in EVO bikes.
He suggested cheaper options for me for mods that get similar results, and doesn't bullshit you or squeeze you for extras. He has a huge reputation and is genuinely a good bloke who knows his stuff.
