I'm still in with a chance on this one.

And AJ, I notice the ride doesn't leave till 08:30, so maybe an 08:00 arrival would suffice?

We met the ride at Tailem Bend and it was running nearly two hours late, Norm. The blokes who rode from the start at Tanunda reckon it was poorly planned and executed with over 200 bikes trying to cross the swan reach ferry all at once. Lots of riders pulled out at Tailem Bend and the Wellington Pub was chockers with bikers for lunch, most of whom had deserted the Black Dog Ride. Shame for the organisers really but perhaps next year they will leave out the ferry crossings?

Went on this today, what a rock show. And what spook says is right on the money. poorly planned, executed and administered. the ferry crossing was a joke.. how many bikes can you fit on a ferry? about 20. FFS. I felt like every which way I turned some bugger wanted money out of me. $27.50 to register, then $10.00 for breaky, $5.00 for a brew and some scones with shit tinned jam and plastic cream at Talem Bend. And I paid for some other bastard fuel bill as well at the shell grarage. Went to pay my bill and the lady says $25.35 please, I thought??????? I am sure I saw $17.49 on the pump when I went in. But I didn't have my glasses on so thought maybe I was wrong. Paid and sure as shit I was right.... So the prick in front om me didn't pay, I didn't pay my bill of $17.49 but paid that bastards... I remember the bugger as well bloody, blue and white triumph rider. Whoever the idiot was that organised this run needs to take a good look in the mirror as he slaps the shit out of himself...I cut out at Talem bend as I could see what was going to happen at Wellington Ferry. Overall a disappointing day on what should have been a very good ride..

    And that was it...

Not really well organised. Waited at Tailem Bend for two hours for main group to show up. As per previous comments the ferry crossing were a fuck up. The poor old RSL and Lions at Goolwa started cooking hours before anyone showed up. In saying that they did a great job for lunch and the beer was cheap and cold, Had a great run home with Colstah and GT to end the day.
