Hi just bought a Iron 883 2015 2months ago with V&N short pipes, SE Air cleaner and SE tuner. But i am bit confused with my Fuel consumtion from the day i bought it. As i am a newbie for HD bikes i thought my Mileage(190km per tank) is normal for my  iron 883, but  i just wanna see whats the true mileage for other Iron 883 riders. Reply's would be much appreciated. Btw i had a chat with the dealers and they said its normal.

I weight about 90kg and installed a backrest, pillion passenger seat, passenger foot peg, and always try to ride in 3000 to 4000 rpm . Till now i just rode 750km so am not a daily rider , on average i ride 50-60km per week on a good weather month hehe. please share your thoughts or any tips how to get more mileage.

Is that 190 when the fuel light comes on or a complete tank?

Shit I'm lucky to get 130km before my light comes on and I'm only 72kg! (though I admit I love to open the throttle).

Edit: Keep in mind that the Iron's tank isn't big at 12L. If that is 190km when the light comes on then I'd say you're getting as good fuel milage as you'll likely get (around 4-4.5L/100km)

Yeah 190km when my light comes up but goes upto 210km when doing high way ride. I never did a flat tank so dont knw the reserve mileage. So i guess my mileage is pretty ohk hey:-)

Riding 50km a week...why even bother working about fuel consumption. Sigh.

with a bit more tuning you can get 250 fairly easy.

Hey mate. I get about 150Km out of a tank before the light comes on. This is with full 2-2 exhaust, hiflow air cleaner and a dealer applied tune. It has not been properly dynotuned as of yet.

This is suburban & city type riding, do not hit the free-way often at all. I imagine I'd get closer to 200km if it was mostly highway riding.
