Bloody great having extra space to do things hey Squid ... when we recently moved to a more Rural area I went from 2 single car garages to 2 double lock up garages ...
and still don`t have enough space , Lol .

As stated above it is going to be nice when finished ... incredible how 1 different painted fuel tank can change the whole appearance of a project like yours .

Really like the anodised Red and Blue fittings ... I reckon they do just as good a job if not better than a lot of Bling ... and that's coming from a bloke who loves his Bling ...
as witnessed by my 08 Softail ... but then I have my good old 99 Springer to bring out my Dark side ... bugger all Bling on that old girl , Lol .

Merry Xmas Squid ... hope you get to spend some quality time with the Missus and Family ... Cheers .

Thanks TJU and maeutroll! Awesone to hear

TJU too right having more shed space is a must. Don't know how I been getting by without it.

Yep, tanks alone can completely transform a bike in my opinion. So can a lot of things really, so easy to ruin a style you're aiming for with one wrong part. That's what I love about bikes, so many things can be done with just one bike.

I'm like you though in liking both blacked out and bling. The next bike I'll start next year is going to resemble more of an old school bobber with a nice contrast of bling, black and of course a small peanut tank with heavy flake candy paint style that looks so tasty it makes your mouth water.

Yep spending time with the missed and family relaxing is the plan till the new year. Have a good xmas too mate, keep safe and enjoy those cold beers

Hey Tim, things are well thanks mate. Hope things are well on your end. I just got back from working since New Years day so nothing new for me so far this year.

The seat is thin, just arrive d back today, but that pic does make it look a little thinner then what it is, not much though. I reshaped it so it fit me perect, it's actually a lot more comfortable then it looks, though the 9 litre tank means I won't ever be sitting for any longer then an hour and a half at a time anyway. You'd be surprised how small the width of where your arse actially pushes on. But yeah, this seat definitely wouldn't keep a lot of people happy, good thing they won't be riding it lol.

Finished off this digital tank shift. Shows the gear selected as well as a operating as a two stage shift light. Wanted to do something I've never seen done before,

A bit of messing around getting the fuel line to neatly get around the coil while not getting in the way of the shiter, also same going with the coil and leads. Having the small tank everything needed to be in even tighter to the motor, leaving even less room to jam it all into that space while keeping it look neat

Pauly mate all you need is a great deal of patience for all the mistakes made haha

Thanks SDMF, it's a speedo. I wanted something tiny and out of view for a less cluttered look up in front when riding

    Thanks TD!

After a few problems with the rear caliper and having to pull the entire rear apart, while I was at it I I gave the polished rear sproket a brushed look. Love sayin colours and brushed metal look

I also changed the chain to one of those fancy EK 3D chains in black and gold

Next weekend I'm hoping to fire it up and take it for its first run.

Fired it up last weekend. Bad video quality doesn't really do it justice, I've ridden bikes with short pipes and no baffles before but this is on a whole new level. The pipe must act a bit like a megaphone with its shape.

    http://youtu.be/kxKR1wEGWQ8

And then yesterday I finally took it for a test run. All I can say is first impression were this thing feels like I'm riding a full blown drag bike on the street, it does not feel right to be riding it on the road in any way shape or form lol. Picking up the revs to cruising speed it just sounds really angry, and with being so extremely low, and then seat being on the frame and so far back, the stretched forward over the tank position feels more pro street. That bare minimum look up front is just adds to that feeling you're riding something on the road you probably shouldn't be. But yeah, how low you are to the ground and how loud and cranky it sounds is just awesome. Being new internals I didn't want to hurt them while running it in, but I have it a couple quick short half throttle blurts and man you can feel it get very light in the front end fast, like it wants to lift. Bare in mind I've taken off at least 40-50kg in weight, not to mention I myself lost a lot of weight over recent months too, I'm sure it'll embarrass quite a few of the 120r's getting around here. I can only imagine what a performance pipe and good tune would do ontop of that. The bike being so much lighter I feel really made the biggest difference overall.
Doing more metal fab work on the rear fender to really make the fender a one off piece. The wiring under the seat still needs to be cleaned up I just through some black foam there and through the seat on for the ride, had to go away today so I was keen to test it out before I left

The Weight has been worth it Squid ... Looking very trick indeed ... did you test ride with out the rear fender , must have felt a tad strange that huge rear tyre being so close ... a loose shirt might have played havoc , Lol .

    Thanks lads

TJU doing some more work to the rear fender for a more custom finish. Because you're kind of stretched forward a bit I missed the tyre but if I leant back then yeah that would go well lol
