Not if you let them know they are fitted to the bike, phone call is all that is needed.

If your not at fault, it doesn't matter at all. You just update details during the claims process. Better to call them and let them know though because if you are at fault or the bike is stolen, it may cause issues or delays

last time I insured I listed vance and hines pipes, SE heavy breather, burliegh bars billet front wheel custom seat.
Didn't affect my premium but will be replaced under claim if anything happened, not to stock standard specs so its best to put those on the policy otherwise if you make a claim they will return your bike to factory compliance

My telepathic ability tells me he's with Billy Wong's Best Insurance. And Billy Wong doesn't fuck around with such things. Lucky you came on here and had me read your mind rather than relying on advice from a bunch of strangers who have NFI who you're insured with.

Thanks for the replays so far and bonkers I haven't chosen one yet but there all asking about modifications to the bike and I thought I might get caught out if I had to make a claim and the exhaust is for off road use only.

QBE have no problem with (reasonable) modifications. Only issue is if they're not listed they're not covered. Meaning in event of a repair they'd be replaced with stock system rather than what's on it. Have had two seamless claims on modified Harleys over the years with no issues. Also worked for QBE for a while so saw behind the scenes. Would not go anywhere else. Although Shannons is good for really old or extremely custom stuff as they will sometimes do a higher agreed value. For me...QBE all the way.

    QBE is my insurer also.
They asked me about any mods and the cost of those mods and I told them.
    All was good
