Tune file repository?

    Gday all.

Just wondering if anyone else thinks it might be a good idea to set up some kind of repository where people could upload their tune files?

My reasoning is that a lot of the base maps you can download for the various tuners are pretty basic and most people probably put some work into refining their tunes which could be helpful to others.
I think something like this could be pretty handy because chances are someone out there has a really nice tune for your bike/components/tuner that you may not have come across.

I've also come to learn that a lot of the maps we may be provided by US companies (fuel moto etc.), that are not specifically designed for AU conditions (sea level, fuel quality, temperatures etc), are complete crap in comparison. Not sure how much substance there is to that claim however.

Anyway tune files are usually pretty small so I was thinking maybe setting up a shared Dropbox folder or something we could all upload to? Doesn't look like non image files can be uploaded to the site.

If there's enough interest I'll have a look at setting it up.

    noctm.

If you do a search for repository, there's already a multi-page post for this. I agree it's a good idea but it's only gonna be useful if lots of people contribute, which they don't or didn't.

If you go to the tts website there are a lot of user maps uploaded there too. Even if you don't use tts, if you download their software you can view the maps noting that the decent tuning modules like tts, pv, se all use the same ECM tables anyway

There may not be too many sportster maps on there so another option is to hop onto some of the yank forums in the ECM and tuning sections and ask people to share their custom maps but as you suggested care is needed particularly around spark timing as their fuel is better than ours.

Personally I am actually OK for a tune, but it did take some time getting there. That's why I thought it might be good to get them all in one place, SE, PV/PC and TTS - especially for us Aussies

I thought the TTS one was to store your own tunes as no one else can use them anyway....Don't know about any other tuners....
