Have checked the manual, no codes can be found, all the information I can glean from the manual is "if the system indicator light stays illuminated while riding , see a H.D. dealer" , but I'll try Google any way

What can cause that is first see if your brake light works if it doesn't check to see if the bulb has either a blown filament or has just fallen out of the socket if that is all good see if your master cylinder lever has a fair amount of free play causing the brake light to stay on because of the piston in the m/c isn't returning all the way home . I have had this problem happen to me a few times but u will more than likely find the bulb has come out of the socket hope this helps.

fault code has been set, you can retrieve code via speedo or a ECM tuner can read the codes direct from ecm, if ya learn how to retrieve code from speedo, people on here can tell you what it means or even google the code as well.
Google will tell you how to retrieve codes from speedo

Thanks all, found a site that give you the know how to retrieve the code via the speedo and how to decode them, one of my indicator isn't working and it's not the globe, even though I have the shocks set fairly firm, I have bottomed out a couple of times, my mates said my brake light was not always working either, I have damaged the wiring loom that goes under the rear gard! and so that's what this is all about! once I have repaired the loom, I will be able to reset the codes to zero
    thanks for your input

Had this happen on my 2012 and it turned out to be water had gotten onto the circuit card in the tail light I cleaned it all up with CRC and put it all back together with a coating of electrical grease over the connectors and it was all good again.
