Hi all, i went to my local bike shop for a oil filter for my 86 evo the guy sold me a twin cam filter saying it's better than an evo filter and fits no problems, whats your opinions on this

Happened to someone i know with a 95 evo he rode his bike around for a while before realizing something was wrong now it leaks oil bad who knows what other damage has been done.

Good thing you checked in here...Stay away from that Indy shop as he is talking chit! There micro sizing of the Evo and Twink filters is different (I think the Evos are a larger micron size) It all comes down to the oil pump and its ability to push oil through the holes in the oil filter, the smaller holes need more pressure than the Evo ones.

Sometimes you get that. I have had young spots just out out school try and tell me the parts I need for my Evo when they where in the wrong. I just stand there and tell them i want to speak to someone senior thats older than my bike!

I hope its not a melbourne dealer?
