I fitted a  HD Hidden Antena kit to my Glide and it is absolutly terrible hardly any reception at all.

Had it replaced by the dealer and fitted the new one , Still No good

I had allready removed the original  antena from the Top Box so I just pluged in the old lead with no antena and got better reception than with the ampliffied one .

Dont bother they are a piece of junk

This is one mod i was considering also. So thats the question. How many have these H-D units and are they any good? OR are there different brand ones and are they better?

The trouble with these antennas is that they are electrically short and horizontally polarised which makes them perform poorly in an environment where you need a vertically polarised 1/4 wave antenna to get acceptable performance.
You would be better off fitting a 2 metre coil of wire inside the fairing and use that for your hidden antenna

I have a 2015 streetglide. I followed the instructions from a youtube clip and just slid the antennae up under the seat and to the back of petrol tank. I just zip tied the end to the nearest bracket. I get all radio channels and crystal clear reception.

I slid the aerial under the seat on my '08 street glide. It worked a treat. A few months later the radio stopped working and had a "B2017" code. I google that and it says it's the front speakers open circuit. I checked them out and both speakers were fine. More google time later I found out it's a circuit board problem in the radio. Not happy Jan. In another thread I see Oneup has had the same thing happen and has located the parts to fix it. Fingers crossed it works... as he'll have another one to do!!
