ill begin by saying I'm mechanically challenged.. A set of slip ons and an air cleaner are about the extent of my 'wrenching' skills.
FP3 came in a teeny box, downloaded iPhone app, plugged it in, switched on bike, iphone found the FP3.. Installed!
Selected bike, selected exhaust, selected baffle type.. Upload.. Done, ride.
Was like a new bike, fat low end grunt, dirty deep exhaust note, bike felt strong, bit of popping through the air filter on down shift blips.. Ran the 'auto tune' function, did my run to work with my iPhone logging the data in my rear pocket, get to work, update map.. Done.. Ride home, the low mid range nearly took my head off, was very unexpected, filthy filthy midrange.. Could just ride that power wave all day!
It still needs some fine tuning, I've lst some throttle response and off the line go, but they suggest multiple learning sessions for the auto tune, it will get there.
So in general.. Best $400 I've spent on the bike, it's SO easy to use, you can dig deep for individual cell modification, they admit it's not for guys who are doing heavy mods but promise to support after market cams later this year.. In all, great Unti for people who don't want heavy mods and are comfortable with the the whole iPhone thing.
I have been trying to find out if the FP3 will work with a 2012 Road King, would anyone be able to confirm this please
Cheers
